This is the Phalanx Chest Rig in A-TACS AU camouflage from Tactical Assault Gear. Type 2 with MOLLE webbing. This is a combat-ready, high-performance layout designed for high mobility when combined with a slick, featuring two radio pouches and a pistol holster integrated into the chest rig. The main body features elastic straps with pull tabs for securing up to four M4-style magazines and four next-generation AK magazines, making it a multi-caliber rig. Additionally, it has radio and utility pockets on both sides, designed to fit an MBITR. The radio pocket's bottom can be adjusted for length with Velcro to accommodate different battery sizes. The back can be configured as either an X-harness or an H-harness, allowing for fine-tuning to suit your mission. The shoulder pads are wide to reduce pressure and discomfort during long missions. There's also a central handgun storage space that can be adjusted with Velcro. A Tokyo Marui G18 fits without issue. Overall, the quality is excellent! The strap material is robust, a clear step up from typical Chinese nylon. All buckles are reinforced plastic, almost overkill, reflecting the dedication of Tactical Assault Gear, which is supervised by former special forces personnel. As A-TACS's developer, DCS, got into the camouflage business, they proliferated patterns. AU and FG transitioned to the X series, becoming AUX and FGX. Consequently, AU itself is now a slightly older generation camouflage, but it has a cool, underground aesthetic. It's effectively camouflaged in brown soil and terrain. There's also a backstory that DCS sold FG to the Russian military due to strong demand from Russia, so the transition to the X series might have been inevitable. I don't think this will be available again. I've kept it in my collection for a long time, but since it's new, I hope this passion reaches those aiming to be unknown operators. *While the stitching is neat, the finishing of the ends is rough. Loose threads are intentional. *I took the photo with a single lens, but due to Mercari's algorithm, some parts of the image may appear reddish.
