Product details This tea scoop is named for easy explanation at tea ceremonies and is a work by Grand Master Kaizen Iguchi, so you can use it with confidence at important tea gatherings. The shape of the scoop resembles that of his elder brother, Tantansai, and the bamboo, which features a smooth channel, has beautiful knot-branch cuts. The channel extending from the scoop tip is also aesthetically pleasing, making this a tea scoop with many points of interest. The accompanying tube is inscribed with Shōfū Genmyō (松風 玄妙), and the inside of the lid of the accompanying box is inscribed with Self-made, Sōgan Kaizen (自作 宗含海仙) with his seal. The item is in good overall condition with no scratches or repairs. The underside of the scoop tip is also clean. There are stains on the outside of the accompanying box, but these are due to the natural properties of the paulownia wood and are not dirt. As they have not penetrated to the inside, you can use it with confidence for viewing and display. *See photo 18.
