A stunning extra-large antique English porcelain oval serving platter retailed by Mappin & Webb Ltd, the prestigious London silversmiths and Crown Jewelers since 1775. Decorated in cobalt blue and gold — intricate dot-and-circle border and fine radiating gold featherwork on the bright white ground. Approximately 17 inches in length, a grand formal meat platter or centerpiece serving size. MAPPIN & WEBB LTD stamped clearly on the base. Circa 1880s–1910s. The face is clean and bright with no scratching and the underside is virtually crazing-free — exceptional condition for a piece of this age. No chips, cracks, or repairs noted. The finest example of this pattern available and a wonderful formal table or display piece with outstanding British heritage provenance.
