vintage Quikut kitchen knives STAINLESS U.S.A. approximately the 1950s to 1970s based in Fremont, Ohio Scott & Fetzer Company (the same company that famously launched the Ginsu knife brand) 1. The Serrated Utility Knife WITH HOOKED TIP This is the knife with the deep, wavy serrations and the upward-curved tip. Primary Use: This was often marketed as a Frozen Food Knife or a heavy-duty utility knife. The aggressive serrations were designed to saw through frozen blocks of food or tough rinds (like squash or watermelon). The Tip: The curved tip allowed for a rocking motion or for piercing through thick skins. 2. The Multi-Purpose Bar/Tomato Knife This is the straight-edge knife with the unique pronged tip and the rectangular cutout. The Forked Tip: This is used for picking up and serving slices of cheese, tomatoes, or garnishes (like lemons and olives) after they have been cut. The Rectangular Cutout: This feature near the handle is a bottle opener. It was common for bar knives or snack knives of this era to include a way to pop bottle caps. Primary Use: It is a classic Bar Knife or Cheese Knife, designed for light entertaining and snack preparation. 8 in Long 1 inch wide 7 in Long 1 in wide at the widest ^496...weight 1.3 Oz will come EXACTLY AS SHOWN LOVE TO BUNDLE with other items SMOKE FREE Pet Free Environment
