Vintage American-made Florsheim Imperial tassel loafers in a rich burgundy polished-leather finish. Model 93224 features a classic moc-toe design, hand-laced side detailing, leather tassels and traditional welted construction. The interior date code “HI” is consistent with August 1988, placing these in Florsheim’s respected late-20th-century period of domestic production. DETAILS • Brand: Florsheim • Collection: Imperial Quality • Model: 93224 • Size: Men’s 8.5 E • Width: E / Wide • Color: Burgundy / Oxblood / Cordovan Color • Upper: Polished calfskin leather • Lining: Leather • Outsole: Stitched leather with Florsheim rubber heels • Style: Tassel loafer / moc-toe dress shoe • Country of manufacture: USA • Probable date: August 1988 CONDITION Very good vintage pre-owned condition. The burgundy leather retains a handsome shine and depth of color, with expected creasing, finish variation and light surface wear from age and use. Tassels remain complete, with some normal edge wear. Leather soles show moderate wear, and the Florsheim rubber heels retain useful tread. Interiors and toplines show age-appropriate wear. Please examine all photographs closely, as they form part of the condition description. Carefully selected by Sea Islands Clothiers—timeless quality sourced from the storied coastal communities of Georgia and the Carolina Lowcountry.
