Vintage Cuendet Swiss Chalet Wooden Music Box - AS-IS / REPAIR PROJECT Up for sale is a beautiful mid-century Swiss mechanical music box from the renowned maker Cuendet. Handcrafted in Switzerland, this musical box is designed to look like a traditional snow-capped Alpine log cabin chalet, detailed with an integrated miniature porch snowman, a downhill skier figurine, and a hand-painted floral decal adorning the front woodwork. ### MECHANICAL CONDITION (PLEASE READ): * **NON-WORKING / REPAIR PIECE:** The internal musical movement is currently overwound or jammed and DOES NOT PLAY. The winding key is present on the bottom, but the mechanism does not trigger the melody. * **Sold strictly AS-IS:** This is a perfect project piece for a clock/music box restoration hobbyist, a source for rare Cuendet housing parts, or a gorgeous standalone holiday display piece. * **Original Label:** The pristine underside factory label is fully intact (Movement No. 7207, designated to play the Swiss folk song Schweizerländler). ### Cosmetic Highlights & Dimensions: * **Excellent Display Quality:** Visually, the house looks fantastic! The physical woodwork, miniature porch figures, and structural parts are 100% complete with no broken or missing figurines. * **Authentic Patina:** Shows very mild, authentic vintage character wear on the paint/finish from age as pictured. * **Size:** The wooden base measures approximately 5.5 inches wideperfect for an Alpine village or mantle display.
