A luxurious three-tier drawer featuring Hakone Yosegi-zaiku, a traditional Japanese craft, with an all-over pattern... This is a very cool item! The chic all-over Saya-gata pattern design is not only suitable for Japanese-style rooms but also looks stylish when paired with ethnic tastes, such as Ata baskets, as shown in the reference photos, even in modern white-walled Western-style rooms. Saya-gata is a pattern created by continuously breaking and connecting the character for manji (卍) diagonally. From the Momoyama to Edo periods, Saya-ori, a smooth silk fabric, was imported from Ming China, and its pattern came to be called Saya-gata. Saya-gata was always used on white collars for celebratory and formal wear. The continuous manji pattern signifies unending longevity, thus carrying wishes for family prosperity and long life. The front of the drawers has a sophisticated, plump, and rounded finish, unlike the flat, souvenir-like appearance, indicating meticulous craftsmanship and a sense of luxury. Height: Approx. 19.2 cm Width: Approx. 23.4 cm Depth: Approx. 17.1 cm (Measurements include the surrounding rim at the bottom) Please excuse any errors as these are amateur measurements. It is beautiful and I love it very much, but I am listing it for sale so that it can be passed on while it is still in beautiful condition... I apologize if I suddenly withdraw the listing if I change my mind. It does not appear to have any particular scratches, but as it is handmade and has been in someone's possession, please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a brand-new item. Please read my profile. (It seems that product photos from my shop are being stolen and posted on Amazon and overseas sites at incredibly high prices, but I am not selling them there, so please be careful!) The shipping method may be changed within Rakuraku, YuuYuu, or Eco-Mercari便.
