A luxurious Maru Obi made of pure silk, perfect for formal occasions. Generously woven with gold and silver foil on a red background, the elegantly dancing cranes and floral patterns are both華やか (hanayaka - gorgeous/splendid) and refined. This obi was once custom-made as a high-end garment, featuring a solid weave and a substantial feel. This is a perfect piece for formal events such as Tomesode, Furisode, and Houmongi kimonos. It is also a beautiful obi that would stand out as stage costume, bridal attire, or for display. [Please write your price negotiation requests in the comment section] Images 2-5 show approximately one-quarter of the obi (about 1m each) from the tail end to the hand end. Images 6-9 show the tail end to the hand end, photographed from opposite sides. Images 10 and 11 show the ends of the obi. Images 12-14 show thread snags and scuffs. [Condition] While not noticeable stains or major damage, please forgive the scuffs shown in images 12-14 as this is a stored item. Overall, I believe it is in beautiful condition.
