Product Description ■The third installment in the series of authentic scale models for beginners. This aircraft carrier, measuring 266 meters in length, was the largest in the world during the war. The Shinano was a heavily armored, super-giant aircraft carrier, a modification of the third ship of the battleship Yamato class, whose construction had been stalled. Although it was the largest aircraft carrier in the world at the time of World War II, it sank just 10 days after its completion due to torpedo attacks by the American submarine Archerfish. Based on the latest data, the kit faithfully reproduces its imposing appearance, including the vast flight deck, the large island-type bridge, and numerous anti-aircraft guns. Various types of carrier-based aircraft are also included. While keeping the number of parts down for an entry-level model, precision is ensured, achieving a balance between impressive finished results and ease of assembly. Thoughtful design elements, such as support parts for secure hull assembly, make it easy even for those assembling a plastic model for the first time. You can easily enjoy building a high-detail ship model. Precisely reproduced down to the smallest details! The massive bridge surrounding the smokestack, and the numerous anti-aircraft guns. The complex structure at the stern is reproduced, and the hull's differences from the Yamato, such as the bulges, are also recreated!
