This is the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu Practice Set from Tamura Shogundo, a long-established karuta manufacturer in Kyoto. ✨ This is an introductory set designed for beginners and students to practice easily, with the following features: ● Product Name: ✨ Ogura Hyakunin Isshu Practice Set ✨ ● Manufacturer: Tamura Shogundo (Kyoto) ● Design: (One reading card is missing) The reading cards feature traditional poet portraits (Kasen-e), waka poems, and author names, while the taking cards have only the lower half of the poem in hiragana. ● Contents: A total of 200 cards: 100 reading cards and 100 taking cards. (The product description states that a waka explanation booklet (bookmark) is included, but this is not present.) ● Card Specifications: To keep costs down for a practice set, these cards are made of thick paper cut to size, rather than the laminated finish found in typical high-quality karuta. The cut edges are exposed, and the border color is green. ● Uses: For school classes, and for memorization and practice at home. ● Size: Approximately 16cm x 12cm x 5.2cm Thank you for looking! ※ One reading card (the card with the portrait) is likely missing. The outer box states that an explanation booklet is included, but it is not. Please be aware of this in advance. ※ This is a used item from a previous era. Due to age-related deterioration, there is overall loss of shape, fading, yellowing, discoloration, and on the cards, there are chips, discoloration, creases, and scratches/dirt (please refer to photos 10-20, with particular attention to damage on the outer box and discoloration of the cards). ※ Please examine the posted photos carefully, and only purchase if you understand and agree to the condition of this used item from a previous era.
