I went to Kushimoto on January 28th. I struggled to catch fish as there were still small fish around. I thought I wouldn't need any more bait-eating powder, but I regretted not bringing it. Well, in the end, I caught a 44.5 cm fish, so it was good. I used a lot of Red Carpet and fished by sight near the shore. I switched from a size 6 hook to a size 4, and used 3-pound leader line. The fish were biting about 10 cm from the rocks, and I hooked four large ones but only landed one. It felt like I was dragging them out. I also tried without Red Carpet, but they wouldn't bite. It really is effective for wary fish. The moment a fish that wouldn't normally bite starts to eat after adding Red Carpet is the best. Using Red Carpet in the dead of winter is a great match. The key to mixing it is to first let the Red Carpet soak up the smell of krill. This increases its fish-attracting effect. When there are many bait-eating fish, mixing in Red Carpet as an afterthought, trying not to get too much krill smell on it, doesn't have much fish-attracting power but acts as a visual deterrent. The mixing ratio is about 2 to 4 kg of bran for 3 kg of krill, and about 3 to 5 kg of Red Carpet. It's easy to use the bait-eating powder by adding it a handful at a time. It's better not to mix it in from the beginning. The downside of Red Carpet is that it's incredibly heavy, enough to break your spirit. It has many advantages. First, the chum clumps together without breadcrumbs (if it's too sticky, add a little breadcrumbs), and you can cast extremely far. It also allows for synchronization between the chum and the bait. You might think I'm joking, but Red Carpet creates an incredible smoke screen with the chum that envelops the bait, and this is truly amazing. It's very effective for fish that are wary of leader line and hooks. For sea bream and other fish, it makes it easier for them to take the bait into their mouths. This allows you to use a thicker leader line and hook. I feel like it's a revolution. It also helps you understand bottom currents, double currents, and surface wind currents. I've been using this chum for about 5 years, but I don't think I've even used half of its potential. There are so many patterns. The turbidity is the smell. Experience this turbidity and weight (lol). There's a world you don't know in this chum (super lol). Click here for the manufacturer's site
