Classic vintage West Bend Penguin Hot & Cold Server featuring the unmistakable streamlined penguin design around the polished metal body and deep brown Bakelite side handles and lid knob. These iconic mid-century servers were designed for entertaining and could be used for both hot and cold foods. The rounded shape, sculpted penguins, reflective finish, and dark Bakelite accents give it wonderful Art Deco / Machine Age styling that also fits beautifully into a mid-century barware or kitchen collection. A particularly fun vintage serving piece that works equally well as functional serveware, a retro ice bucket, or display. Estimated Age: Circa 1940s–1950s Features: West Bend Penguin Hot & Cold Server Embossed penguin motif around body Polished metal construction Deep brown Bakelite side handles Matching Bakelite lid knob Removable domed lid Classic Art Deco / Machine Age styling Vintage American kitchen and barware Condition: Very good vintage condition with age-appropriate surface wear to the metal finish. One very small, shallow indentation in the lid that is difficult to see unless viewed closely; shown in photos. Bakelite handles and knob appear very good. Please review photos, as they are part of the description.
