These pieces are vintage tortoiseshell-style Lucite vanity mirrors from around the 1940s to the 1950s. During the mid-century era, companies like Mohawk, DuPont, and Pro-phy-lac-tic (Jewelite line) heavily popularized these heavy, injection-molded acrylic (Lucite) vanity items. The concentric circular grooving and central sunburst motif are classic design elements from that period, intended to give the plastic an elegant, reflective depth that complemented the popular Hollywood Regency bedroom aesthetic.
