Such a fun and unusual piece of vintage American pottery! This large lidded cookie jar features Wynken, Blynken and Nod, the three whimsical characters from Eugene Field's classic children's poem. Made by Holiday Designs Co. of Sebring, Ohio, circa 1960s, the jar has a wonderful deep amber/dark brown glaze with figural decoration wrapping around. The rounded, pointed lid gives the entire piece its distinctive acorn shape. The rich brown color and folk-art styling make this one especially good! Made in USA.
