This elegant set of six vintage appetizer spreaders showcases a sophisticated Hollywood Regency aesthetic, featuring distinctive handles meticulously cast to resemble a tightly wound rope twist pattern. Crafted entirely from solid gold-tone brass, the warm metallic finish highlights the intricate textured detailing along each handle, paired with a classic wide, smoothly curved paddling blade. This versatile mid-century set functions beautifully for serving individual portions of soft cheeses, compound butters, tapenades, jams, or savory spreads at an upscale charcuterie board gathering or festive holiday cocktail party. Manufacturer: Unbranded Pattern Name: Rope Twist, also referred to by collectors as Cable Twist or Coiled Rope Design Estimated Production Era: Circa 1960s to 1970s Length: 5 in Blade Length & Width: 1 1/2 in, 1/2 in Condition: Offered completely as-is with an authentic, unpolished vintage character. The solid brass surfaces display a heavy, genuine golden patina alongside visible areas of dark oxidation tarnish, aged spots, surface scuffs on the flat paddle blades, and fine friction marks from decades of handling. No attempts have been made to clean or alter the metal finish, allowing the buyer to enjoy the historic aging or polish it to their own preference, while the entire set remains free of deep pits, cracks, or structural bends.
