This is a long-size version of our popular fluoropolymer roller Yaen (a type of fishing lure) designed to target larger horse mackerel in the spring. We've made it about 3cm longer than previous models and added reinforcement. Usage varies by individual, so please consider your own methods when using it. Depending on stock, if you wish to convert one unit to an expert model, please leave a comment before or after your purchase. (Note: This Yaen may fail if used with the conventional methods of previous Yaen models. Therefore, both beginners and experienced anglers are kindly requested to read our profile.) Made with ultra-hard stainless steel (1.2mm) Weight: approx. 15g Length: approx. 39cm For horse mackerel around 20cm (Features) ① Even if you're unsure of the Yaen's arrival, it will immediately spring up upon reaching the target. The advantage is that it increases the probability of hooking the squid before it escapes, even if it's still holding the horse mackerel, making it easier for beginners to fish (this is conditional on the squid holding the bait vertically). When it reaches the squid, the first anchor point (the main body) springs up like a swing (jumps forward), leaving the second and third anchor points on the fishing line. Unlike traditional spring-up mechanisms, there is no loss in lifting the hook. The forward speed, the weight of the Yaen, and the water pressure during retrieval all contribute to the spring-up force. (Once it reaches the squid, you will retrieve it while maintaining the sprung-up state by loosening the line, similar to a three-point Yaen using a Yaen stopper.) ② The large fluoropolymer roller provides excellent slipperiness and quiet operation. This eliminates the need to loosen the line for sending the Yaen, making it less likely to startle the squid and effective for offshore hooking. ③ We have hand-shaped the hooks with ultra-hard stainless steel, considering a wide range of capture and sharp, deep penetration. There are no barbs (only the third hook has a barb). ④ For night fishing, a phosphorescent sticker is applied to the rear fins to make it less visible to the squid. It glows sufficiently for the duration of the fight after being exposed to light for 30 seconds or more. ⑤ If the Yaen reaches the squid without a Yaen stopper, it is designed to instantly spring the hook tip into the body. Attaching a stopper can interfere with the spring-up action near the angler. General Yaen hooks are designed to snag the squid's legs during a strike or when the horse mackerel is released. This Yaen is designed to pierce the larger body or the area behind the eyes. (Precautions) ① We kindly ask that those seeking perfection or who are overly sensitive refrain from purchasing. ② The strength is not as high as commercially available products, and there may be bending in the hooks, etc. Please correct any such distortions yourself. ③ Please note that price reductions and bundled sales are not accepted.
