For Horse Mackerel Cooler Product Contents Venturi Protein Skimmer 1 Main Unit Submersible Pump (Discharge Rate: 500L/H) Drain Hose (Inner Diameter: 6mm, Outer Diameter: 8mm) Air Suction Hose 3 Rubber Gaskets (Includes spares) Drain Cap for Plastic Bottles Spare Sponge ●The sponge design significantly reduces backflow and can be washed and reused. Please be careful when replacing the sponge, as it will overflow if not placed in the front half of the unit. Use long chopsticks to set it from above. After use, remove the pump and push from below to remove it. The sponge is addictive, so set it the day before your fishing trip. ●Important As shown in the photo, set the sponge so that it does not block the holes in the bottle. ⚫︎For those who have purchased my air-lift type cooler, the drain and air hose positions and sizes are matched for easy replacement. This single skimmer provides more oxygen than two or more air pumps, so try installing one in conjunction with your current skimmer. ◉What is a Venturi Type? A submersible motor is built into the protein skimmer. The motor rotates an impeller (fan) to create water flow. At this time, it generates bubbles by bringing seawater and air into contact. Simply put, it's like drinking water through a straw with holes – air and water enter your mouth together. Since the pump is powered by a mobile battery, you won't need your existing air pump, AA batteries, or wood stone, leading to significant savings. ◉Air-Lift Type This type generates bubbles by sending air from an air pump to a porous material called a wood stone. The structure is simple, so some people (including myself) make them themselves. While sufficient for horse mackerel coolers, the filtration capacity is low, and wood stones have a limited lifespan. It also requires an expensive air pump and AA batteries. ⚫︎Bubbles are larger in freshwater, but in seawater, they have viscosity. Fine air bubbles cause impurities to float to the surface in a foamy state. Protein skimmers utilize this property to remove proteins and are specialized equipment for seawater. Options ⚫︎20000mAh Mobile Battery (White) Compatibility tested (12.3 hours operation) ¥2,000 ⚫︎Plastic Case for Mobile Battery Includes 2 stainless steel screws for fixing. Modified to allow USB cable passage. Includes Velcro for battery fixation. ¥2,000 Horse Mackerel Cooler Horse Mackerel Livewell Cooler Click here for the manufacturer's site
