This is the KT-3100G, a standalone AM/FM stereo tuner created by TRIO (now KENWOOD) in the 1970s with the goal of seriously listening to FM broadcasts. Back then, it was an era where audiophiles would choose a separate tuner, distinct from their amplifier. This unit is a representative model from TRIO's golden age, embodying that philosophy. ⸻ ■ Condition (As-Is) • Power on: OK • Tuning meter lamp: OK • AM/FM reception: Both good • FM stereo reception: Confirmed • Analog dial and knobs: All operate smoothly As this unit has been used, there is minor tar staining due to use in a smoking environment. (No critical corrosion or damage; condition is commensurate with age.) *Please prioritize the photos for external condition. ⸻ ■ Appeal of this Unit • Heavy aluminum front panel with hairline finish • Smooth analog operation with a large tuning knob • The enjoyment of tuning in with the tuning meter • A thick, warm FM sound that cannot be experienced with modern devices This is the antithesis of a digital tuner, allowing you to enjoy not just the music but also the atmosphere of the broadcast. ⸻ ■ For Collectors and Audio Enthusiasts • Those collecting Japanese audio equipment from TRIO/KENWOOD's golden age • Those who want to complete a set with a TRIO amplifier from the same era • Those who want to enjoy FM broadcasts as listening rather than background music This model will particularly appeal to such individuals. ⸻ ■ Please Note • As this is an old audio device, it is being sold as-is (vintage equipment). • Please consider it with future maintenance in mind. ⸻ ■ A Word from the Seller This is not just a radio, but audio equipment for engaging with FM. Please enjoy the atmosphere of a 70s Japanese analog tuner. Management Number JN0208-2倉 Click here for the manufacturer's site
