This is the now-discontinued API 500 module version of the classic FMR Audio RNC1773 compressor. I purchased it about three years ago and used it once or twice a year in my private, non-smoking studio. There are some minor scratches from racking, but it's in relatively clean condition. Operation has been confirmed. Please understand that this is a used item, and there may be some overlooked scratches. I will pack it carefully with bubble wrap and ship it in a cardboard box. ◾️ API 500 module version of the classic RNC1773 The FMR Audio RNC1773 has remained a standard for high-quality compressors for decades, and its ease of use and sound quality comparable to compressors costing over 200,000 yen are its biggest attractions. Furthermore, the Super Nice mode achieves unique smooth compression not found in any high-end model, allowing you to obtain a natural sound that can only be achieved with this unit. The RNC500 is a product that further refines the attractive sound of the FMR Audio RNC1773 and incorporates it into an API 500 module. While the RNC1773 used unbalanced connections and an AC adapter, the RNC500 is powered from an API 500 rack and allows for XLR balanced professional-level input/output connections, making it suitable for use in professional studios. It also features a function to prevent popping during power on/off and overcurrent protection, allowing you to use it with high reliability in professional audio environments.
