I collected this model because I liked it. The rubber belt has been replaced, the circuit board cleaned, and the head and rollers cleaned with a special solution. Yuhodo was a Japanese manufacturer formerly based in Kumamoto. They gained popularity in the early days of cassette Walkmans by successfully lowering prices. While not a major company, their sound quality is not bad, showcasing the high level of Japanese manufacturing at the time. They are cherished among cassette enthusiasts as a hidden gem of a manufacturer. This is a one-way player without auto-reverse, featuring auto-stop and fast-forward functions during playback. It operates on 2 dry batteries. While there is significant white noise, the sound quality is not delicate but has a wild, analog-like, powerful, and warm tone that is not bad. (It seemed to suit listening to 70s Aerosmith, so it might be a model suited for rock.) Unlike SONY's single-belt drive, this model uses a two-belt drive for stability, resulting in less wow and flutter. There is no rewind button. When rewinding is necessary, please flip the cassette over and use the fast-forward function. The volume control is a slider, which is unusual, but it can produce a high volume. Please prepare dry batteries and earphones to listen. As this is a used item, we cannot guarantee that its performance is the same as when it was first released. Thank you for your understanding. It will be sent in simple packaging. Click here for the manufacturer's site
