【Unused】Salvimar Carbo 151 Fins Product Description These are the Carbo 151 carbon fins from Salvimar, a popular Italian diving manufacturer. This is a high-rebound, lightweight top-tier model suitable for spearfishing and freediving. Condition: Unused (Please only purchase if you understand that this is a home-stored item and agree to the following precautions.) Material: Carbon (blade) Size (foot pocket): 45/46 (We also have 43/44 available separately, which can be swapped.) Reference Price: Approximately ¥54,000 (product price, customs duty, import consumption tax, customs clearance fees) Purchased as a spare, but I am selling them as I have no plans to use them. ◆◆◆Precautions◆◆◆ [Regarding surface cracks in the areas marked with circles in photos 5-6] We will explain the condition of this product based on the official response from the manufacturer, Salvimar. 1. Reason for cracks Carbon fins are made by coating flexible carbon fibers with hard resin. Cause: The flexibility of fibers and resin is completely different. Phenomenon: When the blade flexes upon insertion into the foot pocket for product inspection, the hard outer resin layer cannot keep up with the movement of the fibers, resulting in very thin cracks. This is an unavoidable phenomenon with carbon products once they are attached or used. 2. Manufacturer's Response (Salvimar) We sent photos of this item and confirmed directly with the manufacturer, receiving the following response: I confirm you that these are just aesthetic anomalies that do not compromise the functionality of the blades. 3. Conclusion These cracks are limited to the surface coating layer and are unrelated to any breakage or delamination of the core carbon fibers. They have absolutely no impact on practical rebound or durability. Please only purchase if you understand the unique nature of carbon products where cracks appear with a single attachment/detachment.
