This is a listing for a Tsugaru shamisen, featuring a thick neck. It is solidly constructed overall, giving it a substantial and luxurious feel. ▶Neck: Red sandalwood This neck is dense and heavy, with a substantial build. We are told it has kin-hozo (gold tenon), but we have not been able to confirm this ourselves. ▶Pegs: White material We are told the peg fittings are gold. Engravings that appear to be K18 or K22 can be seen on the metal parts, but they are difficult to read, so please judge from the photos. ▶Skin: Dog skin (no tears, no history of re-skinning) There are minor scuffs on the skin (see photos). ▶Accessories ・Tortoiseshell bachi (plectrum) Some corners appear whitish due to lighting during photography, but there are no chips. There is a slight scratch on one side (please check photos). ・Koma (bridge) ・Third string (2 pieces) ・Temporary joint ・Hard case (no key) The item will be stored in this hard case and shipped carefully packed with cushioning material. ★We are told the original purchase price was approximately 2 million yen. While we are not experts and cannot provide a detailed appraisal, the instrument produces sound without issue. It is ready for immediate use. There are minor scratches and scuffs from use, but no noticeable major damage, and the overall condition is good. Please check the condition in the photos and purchase with understanding. ★As this is a high-value item, please feel free to ask any questions before purchasing. We will do our best to respond. ★This item has been used and stored with care, so we would be happy to pass it on to someone who will continue to use it with care. ※We have included as many photos of the condition as possible, but as this is a high-value item, we will take additional photos of any areas of concern. Please feel free to comment. 【Notes】 ※As with all skin-covered instruments, this instrument may be affected by changes in humidity and temperature. We will pack and ship with the utmost care, but please understand this in advance. This is a used item, so please only purchase if you understand its condition. Thank you.
