Looking at the craftsmanship of the legs and the part where the strings rest, you can see it's meticulously made, making the difference from other manufacturers clear. The design differs from current models, suggesting it was a very limited in-person sale from a while ago or possibly a prototype. Height: 11mm, String spacing: Approx. 10mm *Please note that these are amateur measurements and may contain errors. It is likely made of mammoth ivory, but given that it predates Miyako Mokugei's acquisition of licenses and sales, it's possible it's made from a higher-grade material. Current models are always out of stock, and this item is unlikely to be available again, so please consider it favorably. Incidentally, I felt there was almost no difference in sound compared to current models. Reference from Miyako Mokugei's website: Compared to standard bamboo bridges, this bridge softens the sharp high-frequency tones, resulting in a generally mellow sound. The mid-to-low frequencies gain more presence, creating a deep, warm tone with a well-extended sustain. When attached to sanshin with synthetic or reinforced (double-layered) skin, it reduces the artificial, harsh kinkin and jiri-jiri noises, transforming the sound into a soft tone reminiscent of a single-layered real skin. The sustain of this soft tone then extends for a long time. However, it is not well-suited for sanshin with naturally soft-tensioned skin or single-layered real skin with 50-70% tension. The mid-to-low frequencies become overly emphasized, resulting in a very peculiar tone. Standard commercially available bridges have two legs, but this one has a [four-leg] design, allowing it to be placed regardless of orientation and offering excellent stability.
