LEICA M6 Leica Black Chrome This is a model with the engraving ERNST LEITZ WETZLAR GMBH on the top, making it rarer than the standard model without the engraving! Recommended for those who want to use the M6 as a workhorse camera. [Product Information] This model evolved from the Leica M4-P by incorporating a TTL exposure meter and using an SPD to measure light reflected from the shutter curtain. Exposure adjustment can be made by referring to the two triangular LEDs displayed in the viewfinder. The viewfinder magnification is 0.72x, making it versatile. As it has a mechanical shutter, it can be used without batteries, except for the exposure meter, which is reassuring. The fusion of classic and pop is superb, and the design is loved by all. The M6 in this listing is a rare model manufactured only for two years, from 1984 to 1986. The engraving ERNST LEITZ WETZLAR GMBH is the former name of Ernst Leitz, which manufactured Leica. The company name was changed to Leica GmbH in 1986, so the ERNST LEITZ WETZLAR GMBH engraving disappeared from models manufactured after 1987. This listing features the rare engraving. [Condition Description] Recommended for experienced users who want to shoot extensively with snapshots without using the exposure meter. 1. Optics: No impact (There is dust and dirt inside the viewfinder, but the bright frame and double image are clear without any missing parts, and focusing is good.) 2. Mechanics (1) Shutter: All speeds change and are accurate (by ear). (2) Film Loading: Winding and counter movement are smooth and in good condition. 3. Exterior (1) Body: There is some roughness and fading of the paint due to age, and scuffs on the raised parts, but no major noticeable scuffs or dents. (2) Vulcanite: Good (clean with no damage or deterioration). (3) Electronics: The battery compartment is very clean, but the exposure meter does not function even with test batteries inserted. *We guarantee the operation of the above functions (for initial defects only). [Accessories] Body cap [Storage Conditions] *During my ownership Cleaned immediately after use, stored in a dry cabinet, non-smoking, no pets.
