This is a three-legged bronze censer with Xuan mark on the bottom and Chaotian ear handles. It features high, upward-curving handles on either side, a rounded body, and a stable three-legged base. Despite its small size, it possesses a calm presence characteristic of antique bronze ware. Chaotian ear (heaven-facing ear) refers to handles shaped as if reaching towards the sky, a design that has been favored for censers and scholarly objects since ancient times. The body exhibits a brown patina developed over time, with layers of verdigris and tarnish in places, lending it the authentic texture of a long-preserved metalwork.
