Perrocaliente Tempo Drop Storm Glass There are no noticeable scratches, but due to age-related discoloration, it has been categorized as having scratches and dirt. There are minor scratches if you look closely, but they are not noticeable. Product Name: Tempo Drop Storm Glass (other plants not included) ◎ Size: W115xD115xH205mm (including wooden base) It was displayed in a glass case and was rarely touched. This is a used item, so please only purchase if you understand this. Product Information The storm glass is a weather predictor used by sailors and others in the 19th century. It is made by sealing camphor (camphor tree extract), ethanol, etc., in a glass tube, and was used to observe the crystals that form in response to climate changes. It is also installed in the Nautilus in Jules Verne's novel Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea. With the subsequent development of science, it was discovered that the crystallization phenomenon is still largely a mystery, and details are still under research. While it is difficult to use as a predictor today, please enjoy the ever-changing crystals with Tempo, just as the scenery changes with the seasons. Materials: Case: Borosilicate glass, beech wood Mixture: Water, ethanol, natural camphor, ammonium chloride, potassium nitrate Material: Glass The wooden base harmonizes and matches any interior as shown in the photos. [Functionality] The storm glass is an item that visually indicates changes in weather. The liquid inside changes according to temperature and pressure fluctuations, helping to predict the weather. #stormglass Click here for the manufacturer's site
