It is sewn slightly off-center from the fold, allowing you to adjust the way the scallops are displayed. The fabric has been finished with a serger. We've tried various methods, but serger finishing provides the cleanest result and ensures durability. We use a setting for thin fabrics, so it's not too bulky. It has also held up well to washing.
