Nambu Tekki Hoko Nabe (Cast Iron Hot Pot) Found this in my parents' storage! (lol) It's unused, but the box has deteriorated! The pot is unused, but there are white spots, possibly due to age or deterioration (′?ω?`)? The lid also has scratches in two places and white spots. These might disappear with use! It's said to be a very sturdy and famous pot! Diameter 25cm It develops a beautiful luster with use. Comes with a wooden lid, 25cm diameter. Features a central protrusion design. - Type: Nambu Tekki (Cast Iron) - Lid Material: Wood - Size: Depth 8.5cm, Wooden Lid 25cm - Interior Shape: Central protrusion - Design: Round The outer box is included, but it is dirty due to age. The Nambu Tekki Hoko Nabe (also known as Hi Nabe or hot pot) is a traditional hot pot for shabu-shabu or chiri nabe, featuring a central chimney where charcoal is placed for heating. Its excellent heat retention and conductivity cook ingredients evenly, making meat tender and vegetables sweeter and more delicious. Charm and Features of Hoko Nabe: High Heat Retention: Being made of cast iron, the temperature doesn't drop easily even when ingredients are added, allowing you to enjoy it warm until the end. Unique Heat Source Structure: The traditional direct heat method using charcoal in the central chimney creates a charming atmosphere at the dining table (for home use, shapes compatible with IH and cassette stoves are also available). Versatile Cooking: Perfect not only for shabu-shabu but also for yosenabe, mizutaki, and stewed dishes. Currently, manufacturers like Nambu Ikenaga (Ikenaga Iron Works) primarily produce and sell Hoko Nabe with split wooden lids. The Hoko Nabe, which is versatile for everything from everyday dining to outdoor activities, can be viewed in detail and purchased from the following online stores: Thank you for looking.
