This is an L2-B flight jacket from VALLEY APPAREL. It's a rare color, a muted, ashy sage green. Size M. Worn only once, for a short time. Product Name: L-2B FLIGHT NYL Product Number: VA1003 Valley Apparel presents the L-2B flight jacket, offering versatile wearability across seasons. The L-2B, succeeding the A-2, was introduced around 1945 and used by the U.S. military until the early stages of the Korean War. It was designed for the light zone (10°C to 30°C). Unlike the A-2, which used leather, the L-2B utilized the then-new material nylon due to a shortage of tanned leather, enabling mass production. It features a lining without insulation. The absence of insulation provides a light feel, while retaining military elements like the zippered utility pocket on the left upper arm, resulting in a simple and clean design. The sophisticated and subtle color palette unique to Valley Apparel is also noteworthy. The ribbed cuffs and hem prevent wind penetration and provide excellent warmth.
