Aeroflex Closed-Cell Insulation Aeroflex insulation tubes and sheets are made from lightweight, flexible special elastomers with a closed-cell structure. They have excellent thermal conductivity and a continuous operating temperature range of -200°C to +125°C. They are also non-combustible, moisture-resistant, and weather-resistant, offering outstanding durability even in outdoor environments with significant temperature differences. Aeroflex is an ideal insulation material for various facilities, such as: Refrigeration and freezing equipment, cold and hot water systems, air conditioning and cooling systems, freeze prevention for water pipes, and outdoor piping systems. The insulation tubes are ideal for all types of pipes, including copper, stainless steel, steel, and vinyl pipes. Aeroflex offers many advantages compared to other rigid insulation materials: For example: - The properties of the closed-cell structure and the skin on both sides maintain stable insulation performance. - The continuous operating temperature range of -200°C to +125°C expands the range of applications. - Non-combustible, fire-safe, UV-resistant, weather-resistant, and chemical-resistant. - Does not require a cover to protect the material from moisture. - Its flexible nature makes installation easy. - The smooth surface does not cause itching like fiberglass. - The talcum powder blown into the insulation tubes makes it easy to slide pipes in. Stable Thermal Conductivity and Wide Application Temperature Range Aeroflex has a very stable and low K-value of 0.035-0.038 (20°C), which helps save energy consumption. The continuous operating temperature range is -200°C to +125°C, unmatched by other elastomeric insulation materials. It maintains flexibility even at low temperatures of -30°C, making installation easy in cold regions. Fire Resistance / Low Smoke Emission (Self-Extinguishing) Aeroflex not only provides excellent thermal insulation but also possesses self-extinguishing properties that comply with major international fire safety standards. *JIS Standard No. 6911 (Non-combustible), ASTM No. E-84 (Surface Burning Characteristics) For example, unlike foamed plastic insulation, it does not melt or drip burning particles, thus preventing the spread of fire.
