A souvenir vest with Korean motifs, evoking the atmosphere of the 50s-60s. The biggest highlight is the large BEEP BEEP / ROAD RUNNER embroidery design on the back. While the Road Runner is the main focus, the front features a dragon, the UN flag, the Korean flag, and even motifs of the Korean Peninsula with the 38th parallel, making this a highly detailed piece. It has a strong narrative quality typical of souvenir pieces, reflecting the background of military postings, assignments, and the souvenir culture of the time. Especially considering the representation of the 38th parallel within the Korean Peninsula motifs, it is likely to have been made after 1953, following the Korean War armistice, giving it a sense of historical context. The main zipper is a TALON zipper. These details alone contribute to the vintage feel of the vest, giving it an aura different from later fashion items.
