This is an Elizabethan collar (poncho type) designed to protect against injuries and prevent self-biting and feather-plucking in various parakeets, small parrots, and lovebirds. [Please specify the size and snap color when purchasing] ○ Easy to put on and take off with plastic snaps! ○ Durable and tear-resistant! ○ Birds can fly without issue! ○ The poncho design does not obstruct the bird's vision and is less burdensome! Made of natural rubber with elasticity, it does not hinder the bird's movements. ☆ Size ☆ S size [Budgerigar, Lovebird] Outer diameter: 7cm When worn: Outer diameter 6.3cm, Inner diameter 1cm M size [Peach-faced Lovebird, Fischer's Lovebird] Outer diameter: 8cm When worn: Outer diameter 7.3cm, Inner diameter 1.2cm L size [Cockatiel - for areas other than legs and rear] Outer diameter: 9cm When worn: Outer diameter 8.3cm, Inner diameter 1.4cm The model Peach-faced Lovebird is wearing a size S to prevent biting its back. If the collar does not reach the area the bird is biting (feather-plucking), please choose one size larger. ☆ Material ☆ High-quality natural rubber, plastic snaps [For Use] ※ As preening is an important behavior for birds to maintain cleanliness, please remove the collar during supervised free-flight time (if there are no wounds or scabs) within your sight. ※ It is okay if it gets wet, but please remove the collar before bathing. (Ensure the neck area is completely dry before reattaching the collar) ※ To remove the snaps, insert your fingernail into the connection point of the snaps and use it as a lever to easily detach them. (We recommend practicing how to remove the snaps before attaching them to your bird) [Precautions for Use] ○ Small birds wearing an Elizabethan collar for the first time may resist and become agitated. If they become agitated during free-flight or when placed in their cage, they may bump into things or fall, leading to injury. If your bird becomes agitated, place it in a travel cage (for a single bird) with food and water, and return it to its main cage once it has calmed down. ○ As with any type of Elizabethan collar, prolonged use can cause chafing around the neck.
