Product Description [A Lifetime Tool. The Legendary Hisamatsu Kiln, Still Loved After Discontinuation] This is a round pot (size 8, with lid) from Hisamatsu Kiln, Japan's leading manufacturer of pickle containers, which sadly closed its business in 2013. Hisamatsu Kiln pottery is more than just a storage container. Minimal Temperature Fluctuations: The thick ceramic insulates against external temperatures, stabilizing fermentation. Free of Harmful Substances: No elution of endocrine disruptors, lead, cadmium, etc., ensuring safe and secure long-term storage. Scratch-Resistant and Hygienic: The smooth inner glaze makes it difficult for bacteria to grow and minimizes odor transfer. ● [Size and Specifications] Capacity: 14.4 liters (Size 8) Material: Tokoname ware (Ceramic) Uses: Miso making, pickled plums, rice bran pickles, sake lees pickles, etc. ● [Condition] This is a used item. There are stains on the bottom from use, and a tiny scuff mark of about 1 cm on the rim (see photo 5). However, there is no critical damage such as cracks or chips, and the surface gloss remains intact. Rather, it has the distinguished character of a well-used tool, making it the perfect condition for those starting serious preparations. ● [Shipping] As this is a very rare item, it will be carefully packed with cushioning material to prevent breakage during shipping. Why not enjoy homemade miso or pickled plums? ● Size 8 (14.4L) is perfect for making authentic miso (approximately 10kg finished product)! Click here for the manufacturer's site
