The anko gives it thickness, making it feel great in your hand! You really have to hold it to understand... It increases the reach when spreading (pulling) putty, making it easier to create clean lines! It's completely different from the flat putty knives you find commercially! It will definitely make putty work more enjoyable. ??Background of this Putty Knife's Creation: I used to be terrible at putty work... I just couldn't apply it well at all. By chance, a craftsman friend of mine had a handmade putty knife with an anko filling, and I borrowed it to try. I was truly amazed at that time. It was so easy to use, and I could apply putty just like a skilled craftsman! I desperately wanted a similar putty knife, but I couldn't find one anywhere. So, I decided to make one myself. Indeed, the thick putty knife with the anko filling was easy to use! As I was making them, other craftsmen around me started asking, Make one for me too! I believe you'll come to like putty work and find it enjoyable! ??Detailed Explanation Below: This putty knife is made from 0.35mm steel. Meiko brand putty knives are made from 0.4mm steel. Therefore, this putty knife is slightly softer and has more flex than a Meiko brand putty knife. It feels similar to a Meiko brand putty knife that has been used for about a year. I think you'll find it easy to use. Please give it a try. The coating is one coat of 2-component urethane sanding sealer, followed by two coats of 2-component urethane clear topcoat. It's a very durable coating. I've made a considerable number of putty knives, and I'm listing items with minor scratches, slight warping, misalignments, or minor balance imperfections as B-grade products.
