This angle allows for easy ascent and descent when self-propelling an electric wheelchair or when an attendant is pushing a wheelchair. Guideline: Step height x 6 = Slope length If you are self-propelling a wheelchair and operating it yourself, a gentler incline is necessary, and a length that creates an incline of 5 degrees is recommended.
