One 3-year-old seedling, similar to the one in the second photo. ?? Currently in its winter color. It is not dead. It will return to its beautiful green color in the spring. ? To prevent the inner part from drying out, it has been pruned and trained into a single trunk. Also, the lower branches have been pruned to prevent them from being overgrown by grass or hindering air circulation. ???? Please read the profile ?????? Includes information on changes to the discount system, shipping, and important notes. ? Please understand in advance that price changes, including discounts, cannot be made after purchase. Himuro cedar, a familiar sight in winter arrangements. Why not try making Christmas wreaths, swags, New Year's decorations, etc., using your own Himuro cedar every year? ?? This is not Scalosa. Himuro cedar is a horticultural variety of Sawara cypress, belonging to the cypress family. If planted directly in the ground and left to grow, it will become large, but it can be harvested for arrangements. ? When using for arrangements, please cut leaving the leafy parts intact. (If harvesting all branches for arrangements, it is recommended to harvest alternately every other year from two trees.) When planted in the ground, it remains green until the cold weather and frost arrive, and generally requires no care. However, if it becomes too dense due to lack of sunlight, the inner part may dry out, so occasional maintenance is recommended. If grown in a pot, it is advisable to fertilize when the color starts to fade before the frost. ?? When it turns into its winter color, it changes to brown and looks dead, but it will return to its beautiful green color as it gets warmer. ?? Please understand in advance that the tips may be bent for shipping. ※ As this is a living plant, please understand in advance that its shape may change daily, leaves may fall, or it may die. ※ Despite our best efforts, please understand in advance that branches may break, or flowers, leaves, or fruits may fall off during shipping.
