These rare plants from the Southern Hemisphere are sure to catch the eye of any plant lover. We recommend these two varieties for those who want to create a unique and special space or find standard garden plants unsatisfying. Both are popular native plants with beautiful, delicate, fine leaves that sway gracefully in the wind, creating a cool and refreshing atmosphere. We've paired them perfectly as accents for your garden or for potted dry gardens. While they are not widely available and require some skill to cultivate, the reward of growing them beautifully is exceptional. The sight of their exotic foliage will provide the ultimate relaxation, freeing you from the stresses of daily life. Here are the two captivating plants that will stimulate your curiosity as a gardener. 1. **Aulax pallasia** (￥2,200 each) An evergreen shrub native to South Africa. Its appeal lies in its delicate, stylish, needle-like leaves. Male plants produce yellow, brush-like flowers, while female plants have unique, cone-like blooms. Cultivation Tips: Keep in a location with plenty of sunlight and good ventilation year-round. They dislike excessive moisture, so water only when the soil has thoroughly dried out. Protect from strong winter frost by keeping them under eaves. 2. **Adenanthos cuninghhamii** (￥2,200 each) A member of the Woolly Bush family, native to Australia. Its greatest charm is its soft, fluffy, silver-green leaves, and it produces slender red to pink flowers. Cultivation Tips: They dislike phosphorus, so it is essential to use acidic, lean, well-draining soil, such as that for blueberries. They are susceptible to Japan's high temperatures and humidity, so manage them in a well-ventilated, semi-shady spot during the summer, protected from rain. *As these are living plants, there may be slight changes over time. Please purchase only if you understand this. We will ship via the 4th Class Mail service. This is a standard mail service, so there are no deliveries on weekends or holidays, and no tracking or insurance. To minimize transit time, we generally avoid shipping on Thursdays and Fridays. Please note that we cannot be responsible for any issues during transit, such as wilting, leaf drop, or loss. *Express shipping is available for an additional ￥400. *Mercari delivery service is available for an additional ￥500 and up.
