Dimensions of one unit: Height 25 cm, Width 27 cm, Depth 24 cm This is a hornet trap designed to protect beehives from the Oriental hornet, which attacks Japanese honeybee colonies from summer to late autumn. Two methods of use: 1. Install it to cover the entrance of the tiered beehive. It automatically captures hornets that are attracted by the scent of honey emanating from the entrance. 2. Application: Set it to cover a container filled with honey, hive debris, sugar water, etc. Hornets can be captured when they enter the trap to take bait back to their nest. The structure utilizes the habit of hornets carrying bait; they will enter through the two holes, heading towards the light, and will be unable to escape through the mesh. Tip: On the day of capture, remove the hornets using tweezers or similar tools through the drawer opening window and soak them in shochu or other spirits. Leaving them in the trap for too long increases the risk of your honeybees escaping due to the buzzing sound, so remove them promptly. If you do not wish to keep them alive: Dispose of them quickly by submerging the entire unit in water, burning them with a torch, etc. Bonus: Sometimes, hawk moths, praying mantises, katydids, spiders, and other insects may also be attracted by the scent of honey and enter, but this is not a problem. #Hornet #Insect #InsectCollecting #Hornet Click here for the manufacturer's site
