Product details 【Rare, Complete Set】Hemmi Slide Rule No. 269 Civil Engineering Bamboo Slide Rule with Case and Manual

This belonged to my father, who was a civil engineer, so I don't have detailed knowledge. The following is an AI-generated product description. It appears to be unused as it is still in its original packaging. The outer box and manual show signs of age.
    ↓
    Product Description:
This is the No. 269, a civil engineering-specific model from HEMMI, a slide rule manufacturer that Japan is proud of worldwide.
This is a rare vintage item that is no longer manufactured, and it is made of bamboo, showcasing craftsmanship, rather than plastic. It features special scales tailored for civil engineering design, making it a masterpiece that represents the technological prowess of its time.

    [Set Contents]
Slide Rule Main Unit (No. 269)
    Original Storage Case
    Outer Box
    Instruction Manual (User Manual)

    [Condition]
Main Unit: No noticeable cracks or major scratches. The cursor (transparent sliding part) moves smoothly.
Exterior: While the outer box shows signs of age-related damage and dirt, and the manual has discoloration, it is considered to be in relatively good condition for its age.
Please check the images for details.

We hope to pass this on to collectors of antique and retro stationery, or to those who appreciate its value as a historical document in engineering.
