This is a TOSHIBA ONSATRON assembly-type tuning fork clock, model TCE-71. Manufactured by Tokyo Shibaura Electric Co., Ltd. This is a rare tuning fork clock, believed to have been manufactured around the 1960s-1970s, before the widespread adoption of quartz clocks. It is a retro clock that was only in circulation for about a decade. Furthermore, unlike typical finished clocks, this item is a rare assembly-type model, making it even more scarce. As this item is over 50 years old, there is very little documentation or information available, and details are unknown. It is thought to be an item that may have been produced to commemorate Toshiba's 100th anniversary in 1975 and was distributed on a limited basis. [Product Condition] - Unopened item (dead stock) - As this is an old item, the outer box has some age-related fading and scuff marks. *Please check the photos for details. [Important Notes] - As this is an unopened item, we have not checked for the presence of parts or tested its operation. *Although we believe there are no missing parts as it is unopened, we are listing it as unconfirmed because we cannot know without opening it. - Due to the nature of this very old and unopened product, please purchase with the understanding that it is sold as-is. [Shipping] - The item will be carefully packed with bubble wrap and delivered via anonymous shipping.
