【2.5mm/50cm】Stainless Steel Round Choke Chain for Medium to Large Dogs ■What is a Choke Chain? This is a collar used for training. While small dogs can manage with a regular collar, medium to large dogs, after about six months of age, may become difficult to control during walks due to increased strength and weight, exceeding the owner's ability to manage. A choke chain is useful for training in such situations. ■When and How to Use It? When your dog doesn't follow commands and pulls strongly, briefly loosen the leash and then pull it. The momentary tightening of the collar signals to your dog that they've made a mistake. This momentary tightening is called a shock. Dogs dislike this shock, and it affects them mentally as well. At this moment, always give a verbal command such as back or no. As your dog gets used to it, this word will become a signal for the shock, and they will gradually start to follow commands without the shock. The key is to give the shock by pulling the leash momentarily and then immediately releasing it. It might seem a bit harsh, but it's for the enjoyment of both you and your dog during walks, so let's work hard on training. ■Stainless Steel Construction This alloy improves upon the weakness of iron, which is rust, and offers excellent corrosion resistance and durability. It contains zero nickel, making it suitable for use with white-furred dogs. ■About Sizing The length refers to the total length when the chain is stretched out straight. When used, it forms a loop, so the inner circumference will be 4-5 cm shorter than the total length due to the overlapping rings at both ends. Please be aware of this. Therefore, we recommend making a loop with a string that is 4-5 cm shorter than the total length and checking if your dog's head can pass through it. ■Target Audience Medium to large dogs weighing approximately 20-30 kg. ■Precautions ?Never use this as a tether, as there is a risk of suffocation. ?If pulled too strongly, the chain may rarely break, so be mindful of your dog's weight and how you pull. ?As this is a personal listing, we do not offer exchanges, refunds, or returns. Please consider carefully before purchasing. ?Choke chains will be shipped via non-standard mail. Click here for the manufacturer's site
