? Not Just Any Jerusalem Artichoke! ?? This is a rare French variety of Jerusalem artichoke, Beni-Murasaki France Kikumo, produced in collaboration with Ibaraki University. ?? We have jointly researched the functional components of this Jerusalem artichoke with the Faculty of Agriculture at Ibaraki University and confirmed its effect in suppressing glycated hemoglobin, a marker for diabetes. ? The most notable features of Jerusalem artichoke are its inulin and dietary fiber content, and this variety boasts a 20% increase in inulin! ? It is also characterized by a high content of unsaturated fatty acids such as linoleic acid and oleic acid. ? Inulin is said to help regulate blood sugar levels. Recommended for those suspected of having abnormal blood sugar levels, such as those with diabetes or pre-diabetes! ? Beni-Murasaki France Kikumo is rich in the water-soluble dietary fiber inulin, and is gaining attention as a health food for its ability to suppress blood sugar spikes and improve gut health. ? Another characteristic of Beni-Murasaki France Kikumo is its very low starch content. It's also suitable for low-carbohydrate diets! ◎ How to Eat ◆ Jerusalem Artichoke with Miso (skin on) or Sweet and Sour Pickles → Enjoy plenty of inulin! Wash the Jerusalem artichoke thoroughly. Since inulin is concentrated near the skin, do not peel it. Slice thinly for easy eating. Serve with 1 tablespoon of miso, dipping the sliced Jerusalem artichoke. ◆ Jerusalem Artichoke Potage-style Soup Wrap the peeled Jerusalem artichoke in plastic wrap and microwave for 2-3 minutes. Blend with a small amount of water in a mixer. Heat in a pot and enjoy with your favorite flavorings such as consommé, tomato, or cream. ◆ Jerusalem Artichoke Wakame Salad, dressed dishes, or Miso Soup Peel and julienne the raw Jerusalem artichoke. Arrange on a plate with lettuce, cucumber, carrots, tomatoes, etc., and dress as desired. It can also be prepared in various dressed dishes. It has a crisp texture similar to Japanese yam. □ Storage Method Jerusalem artichokes spoil quickly after harvesting, so we recommend consuming them as soon as possible. For longer storage, keep them in the refrigerator (wrapped in damp newspaper) or in the soil. If they become slightly soft, soaking them in water for about half a day will revive them. □ About This Listing Product: Edible Beni-Murasaki France Kikumo Origin: Ibaraki Prefecture Cultivation Method: Grown slowly using domestic, pesticide-free, organic farming methods.
