Thank you for viewing. This is a work that received the Director-General's Award in the Crafts category at the 53rd Warabi City Public Art Exhibition (2022). *The Citizen's Encouragement Award, shown in the 4th photo, is decided by votes from visitors during the exhibition period and is different from awards given by judges. *The award certificate is shown for proof and is not included with the artwork. [Artwork Concept] In today's world, where we often feel suffocated by sad news and the exhaustion of human relationships, we believe that having hope is essential for living. This artwork was created to give viewers even a little bit of hope. The motifs are fire and light. The power of vigorously rising flames and the light, a symbol of hope, are expressed through carving and Kiseto glaze. Furthermore, by arranging the deep green of Oribe glaze around it, the light of the Kiseto glaze is made to stand out more. It has a thick finish, giving it a sense of weight and a stable presence. You can feel the profoundness unique to large-scale works. ★There are polishing marks on the base, but they do not affect use. Please enjoy them as part of the handmade aesthetic. [Shipping] Due to the weight of the item, shipping will be handled by Pakuraku Tano-Meru Bin (a specialized shipping service for large/heavy items). [Direct Pickup Also Available] ★If you wish to pick up the item directly, please comment before purchasing. Once you have decided to purchase, we will deduct the shipping fee (Tano-Meru Bin: 3,400 yen) before you finalize your purchase and switch it to a dedicated page for you. *Pickup will be within walking distance, so only those who can come to the vicinity are eligible. Please note that transportation costs will be borne by the customer. ★[Please consider this item only if you understand the characteristics of pottery. If you have any questions or concerns, please be sure to consult us before purchasing.] [The surface dullness (oxide film) unique to Oribe glaze has been removed with citric acid.] ★[The inside of the vase is covered with transparent glaze, but if used as a flower vase, due to the nature of pottery, there is a possibility of water leakage with prolonged use. If this is a concern, we recommend using a water leakage prevention agent.] Artwork Name: Ao-Oribe Shinogi-mon Tsubo Kibou (Blue Oribe Carved Jar Hope) Artwork Dimensions: 43×43×47 (cm) Artwork Weight: 22Kg Year of Creation: 2022 Click here for the manufacturer's site
