Sanpo Sanpo Square Sanpo Offering stand Shinto altar equipment Lacquerware Height: approx. 31.5 cm Width: approx. 33.5 cm *Please note that these are amateur measurements and may contain errors. This is an old Sanpo from my grandparents' home, dating back several decades. It comes with its original wooden box (with dirt and scratches) and the paper used for cushioning (with tears), as shown in the images. This is a magnificent Sanpo with a refined vermilion color and gold decorations. It appears to have been used a few times, but has been stored for decades without being used. The old newspaper used as cushioning material during storage is from the 12th year of the Showa era (1937), so it is likely over 80 years old, but the exact details are unknown. To the amateur eye, it appears to be in beautiful condition, showing no signs of age at first glance. However, upon close inspection of every corner, there are fine cracks due to age (?) or the nature of the material used (?), and some areas that appear to have uneven coloring. The main parts can be confirmed in images 17, 18, 19, and 20. We believe the damage is minor enough not to be noticeable when displayed and used, but those who are concerned about minor details should refrain from purchasing. ? There may be slight scratches or cracks in areas not shown in the images. The transaction is on an as-is basis.
