Authentic vintage Scottish tartan wool travel blanket, also commonly referred to as a lap blanket or car rug. This classic mid-century piece features a timeless multicolor tartan plaid with a traditional red bound edge, adding both durability and charm. These wool travel blankets were often brought back from overseas by military families and travelers and were designed for warmth during transport, car rides, and cool evenings. This piece comes from my family collection and has been carefully preserved. Perfect for layering over a sofa or bench, using as a cozy lap blanket, or styling in a cabin, cottage, or traditional home.
