Vintage 1940’s Baron Woolen Mills blanket With Brand identifiable by the distinctive Rising Sun or radiating arm motif stitched near the bottom. 7’ x 6.5’ HAS BEEN PROFESSIONALLY DRY CLEANED Based in Brigham City, Utah, Baron Woolen Mills operated from 1869 to 1988 and was known for producing high-quality wool blankets often used in camping and western trade. Identifying Features The Mark: The small hand-stitched symbol you see (resembling a T with rays or a crescent) is the mill's signature mark, typically placed on their premium blankets. Hudson's Bay Style: This specific multi-color striped design (traditionally indigo, yellow, red, and green) mimics the iconic Hudson's Bay Company (HBC) point blankets. While HBC blankets were exclusively made in England, American mills like Baron produced their own versions, often referred to as trading blankets. Points: The short black lines (points) on the side edge are a traditional system used to indicate the blanket's size and weight without needing to unfold it PLEASE NOTE WEAR
