Price reduced. This is a Seikō Sendai Hira hakama. There are a few small, dot-like stains, but they are not very noticeable at first glance. It makes a rustling sound with every movement. Made by Yasuō Kōda, a Living National Treasure and holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property. The color is difficult to capture accurately. It's a lighter shade with a hint of brown compared to the darker images? It's not reddish like in the pictures. Perhaps a brick-red hue? Hakama length (from the tie): 90cm Sendai Hira is a silk textile unique to Sendai, which developed under the protection and encouragement of the Date clan. Its most distinctive feature is the Nure-nuki technique, where untwisted raw silk threads are wetted and then tightly woven, resulting in a unique crispness that combines suppleness and firmness. As the highest brand of hakama fabric, it is used in formal occasions such as tea ceremony, kyudo (Japanese archery), and as offerings to the Imperial family. Yasuō Kōda's Sendai Hira is renowned for its high-quality craftsmanship and beautiful striped patterns, and is also known as the hakama worn by Yuzuru Hanyu at his Coming-of-Age ceremony. Living National Treasure Yasuō Kōda's Seikō Sendai Hira Hakama Fabric Super Premium Class (Mouse Gray Light/Dark x Black x Gold Brown) He has dedicated himself to weaving excellent Sendai Hira with distinctive designs, deeply researching traditional techniques and preserving their strengths.
