List Price: ¥618,200 (tax included) Body: Diamondwood (a composite material of synthetic wood and resin) Key Material: Nickel silver with silver plating Since its founding, Powell has also been producing piccolos and has earned a global reputation as a piccolo manufacturer. Their piccolos are characterized by excellent intonation, control, and a sweet tone that captivates audiences, earning them immense trust from orchestral players. The long-awaited Sonare model has now been added to Powell's piccolo lineup. The model name Sonare means to play. True to its name, the headjoint is hand-cut to meet the diverse demands of piccolo players. The material is a composite of wood and resin (a millefeuille-like layered structure). This piccolo offers excellent cost performance and is a solution for all situations, from those who want to start playing the piccolo right away to professionals, and for use in harsh environments such as outdoors. (From the distributor's website) Purchased in 2022. As the body is made of synthetic material, it is resistant to cracking and can be used with peace of mind in environments with large temperature fluctuations or outdoors. It has been used with care, so there are no noticeable scratches or major damage to the body. The keys have minor scratches and slight discoloration from use. The joint is quite tight, so if you are concerned, please request fitting adjustment at a musical instrument store. Adjustments were made in February of last year. Accessories include the case and case cover. This model has been removed from the distributor's website, making it difficult to obtain in Japan. Currently, Powell piccolos start at the Signature model, which is close to 1 million yen, so this is a rare opportunity to acquire a Powell at this price. We appreciate your consideration. I am selling this due to cash flow issues, but there is a possibility that the listing may be withdrawn depending on the circumstances. Click here for the manufacturer's site
