This is the Yamaha YPC-61, a professional-grade wooden piccolo. It is the predecessor to the current professional model YPC-62 (list price over ¥200,000) and is a masterpiece still loved by many players today. Both the headjoint and body are luxuriously made of grenadilla, a high-quality wood, and are characterized by a warm, yet strong and powerful sound unique to wooden instruments. This model is from an era when very high-quality wood was used, and it holds significant value as a Japanese vintage instrument. [Product Condition] * Body: There are no cracks or splits, which is the biggest concern for wooden instruments. It is in very good condition. * Pads: The pads are old, as expected for its age, but there are no tears in their current state. * Keys: There is discoloration due to age. * Operation: Sound production has been confirmed, but please consider this item with the understanding that you will need to have it adjusted and maintained yourself to bring out its full potential as a vintage instrument. For this reason, we have set the price very affordably for a professional model. We hope to pass this on to those who wish to acquire a professional wooden piccolo for concert bands or orchestras, or to those who will cherish and continue to use this masterpiece from Yamaha's vintage collection. [Accessories] * Hard case (the hook is missing, so it will not stay closed.) As this is a precision instrument, it will be carefully packed with cushioning material and shipped safely.
