Vintage antique postcard. Writing on front bottom. Please view both sides for condition. Immerse yourself in the tender beauty of this vintage German postcard, depicting a romantic couple strolling through a golden field of grain or reeds under a soft sunset sky. Birds gracefully soar above, adding to the serene atmosphere. The front features a touching German verse, Im Aehrenwogen und beim Gerchensang, Ich lausche Deiner Stimme holdem Klang! (In the waves of grain and the song of birds, I listen to the sweet sound of your voice!), underscoring the sentimental theme. The artwork is signed by the artist Maulich, showcasing a classic early 20th-century aesthetic. This charming collectible captures a moment of idyllic romance, characteristic of the era's popular imagery. The intricate details of the couple's attire and the natural landscape are beautifully rendered, suggesting a chromolithograph printing technique. It's a delightful piece for collectors interested in German history, romantic themes, or vintage art postcards, offering a glimpse into the sentimental expressions of the past. The card was postmarked in 1903, adding to its historical significance and authenticity.
